Three clear steps

How to convert PNG to JPEG

Tanumi checks each PNG before processing the batch sequentially.

  1. 01

Choose up to 10 PNG files

Select or drop static PNG images within the stated file and pixel limits.

  2. 02

    Review the batch

Check dimensions and total size. Transparent pixels will become white because JPEG has no alpha channel.

  3. 03

    Convert and download

Create each JPEG locally, then save files individually or download one ZIP.

Choose the format for the image

When JPEG fits better than PNG

JPEG is often a better delivery format for photographs or services that do not accept PNG. PNG remains better for transparency, logos and crisp interface graphics.

  • Prepare photographs for forms that require JPG or JPEG.
  • Reduce the delivery weight of photo-like PNG exports.
  • Create a white-background copy for sharing or printing.

PNG to JPEG questions

How many PNG files can I convert at once?

You can convert up to 10 static PNG images in one batch, then download each JPEG or the whole batch as a ZIP.

What happens to transparent PNG backgrounds?

JPEG cannot store transparency, so Tanumi fills transparent and semi-transparent pixels with white.

Are JPG and JPEG different?

No. They are two file extensions for the same image format. Tanumi uses the .jpg extension for downloads.

Should I convert every PNG to JPEG?

No. Keep PNG for transparency, logos, text-heavy graphics and repeated editing. JPEG is usually a better fit for photographs and broad compatibility.

Are my PNG images uploaded?

No. The entire batch is decoded and converted locally in this browser.
